We are seeking a Software Engineer for our Missile Warning/Missile Track (MW/MT) Enhancement effort.
The Software Engineer will integrate data from Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) to address current and future emerging non-traditional ballistic missile threats to enhance the overall ITW/AA situational picture for the Combatant Command (CCOM).
The Software Engineer will develop, integrate, and deliver the following capabilities to provide decision makes with a more complete event picture: Enhancement of existing displays to incorporate new sensors with existing data and modernize database content with additional multi-domain meta-data to improve threat assessment and attack characterizations required to address new sensor data.
Improvement of source data accuracy for the missile warning mission and translation for integration into CCIC2S that will enhance mission displays and improve impact prediction.
Creation of multiple display options for the operator and reduce ambiguity between missile defense and missile warning displays.
Job Description: The Software Engineer performs software design, development, and integration tasks as part of an agile engineering team.
Requirements: C++ and Java software development Microservices and REST API development architecture Software tools / platforms: Jira, Confluence, CAMEO, Bitbucket, Git, Eclipse, VS Code, Kafka, NASA Worldwind History creating software design artifacts and software documentation Familiarity with software development pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies Supporting capability development/delivery/sustainment for a DoD Mission System Agile development methodologies and related tools (e.
g.
Jira) Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mind-set.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
Critical thinking skills and initiative to tackle challenges as they arise.
Self starter, willing to take on challenges and actively solve them.
Desired: Missile Warning/ITW/AA, Missile Defense/C2BMC, or Space Domain Awareness mission systems Strong Java development and Container development using, Docker, Kubernetes, and Tanzu Educational Requirements: BS degree in a related computer science or engineering discipline with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and certifications.
Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation.
Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
