PRIMARY FUNCTION
DSoft Technology is looking for a Senior Umbraco Web Developer to operate on a team building an extensive website re-launch for the Alaska Department of Health contingent upon contract award.
The tentative start date is April 2024.
This role is expected to bring expertise on Umbraco 13 / Umbraco Cloud design and deployment within an Agile framework using CI/CD patterns while abiding by industry standards and State of Alaska information management policies.
The ideal candidate can take user-centered web design and make it real through solid front-end development skills.
We need someone who understands accessibility and performance — who can handle the HTML/CSS to make accessible, mobile-first, and responsive design a reality.
We’ve been an Umbraco Partner since 2012 and we’ve seen the Umbraco platform evolve since Version 4.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Work with solutions engineers, designers, back-end developers and the rest of the Agile development team to deliver an Umbraco solution with high quality and on schedule Translate design mockups into flexible HTML and CSS to be used in the completed project.
Maintain current skills and industry best-practices Be accountable for tasks, track time, and keep team members in the loop Strong oral and written communication skills with both teams and clients.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Strong knowledge of current web design principles, DevSecOps, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), responsive website development, WCAG accessibility, and usability standards Demonstrated experience with integrating customer applications using web services.
Demonstrated experience using Umbraco Cloud Demonstrated experience working both collaboratively and independently.
Preference will be given to candidates with at least four years of experience in developing and deploying websites using Umbraco versions 8 through 13.
Experience developing HTML layouts using advanced CSS techniques, focusing on web standards and usability, will be looked upon favorably.
Current Umbraco Certified Professional status or higher (e.
g.
, Expert or Master) is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, or related discipline and 8 years of relative experience.
Will supplement a combination of education and experience.
Secret Clearance Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
COMPENSATION: Pay Range: 85,000-130,000 The Yulista pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
