Auria is looking to hire a Java Software Developer to support the development of the Protected Tactical Enterprise System (PTES).
The ideal candidate will perform software development tasks to deliver new products and services to the PTES system.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
Responsible for developing, deploying, and testing software using Java and/or JavaScript based on tasks assigned through the Agile workflows for the Mission Management System (MMS) team on PTES.
Work closely with system engineers, testers, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
Provide technical advice and deliver customer presentations for architectures and potential solutions.
Responsible for maintaining and managing the implementation of external and internal interfaces, and other tasks assigned by the PTES MMS chief engineer and product owner.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA and 4+ years Java Software development experience
Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years relevant experience, Master's degree and four or more years relevant experience
Engineer Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience, Master's with 9 or more years of experience
Engineer Level 5: Bachelor's degree and 14 or more years of experience, Master's with 12 or more years of experience
Ability to obtain a U.
S.
Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.
S.
Citizenship)
Proficient in Java Programing language and understands object-oriented programming principals.
Proficient with software and system-level debugging experience, including the ability to identify problems in established code and make modifications as needed.
Experience with using Rancher for managing Docker containers and the management of microservices
Experience with Agile Development Processes and tools (e.
g.
, Jira, Agility, Confluence)
Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting software development tasks for a complex system across multiple teams of developers, engineers, and testers
Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with implementing Kafka topics, producers, consumers, and Kafka streams
Experience with using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) for designing and implementing complex business processes
Experience with maintaining a Data Transfer Object (DTO) library that is used by multiple teams to ensure consistency, quality, and backward compatibility
Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with software engineering
Salary Range: $93,288 - $173,056
