Description
SAIC is currently seeking a Senior Backend Developer to support the US Army Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineering contract to support connect the front end to the database and simulation engine using api’s and microservices.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work closely with the tech lead and senior developers, the Senior-Level node.
js Developer will participate in development, integration testing and validation, and all aspects of the software life cycle (requirements to design to implementation to test) for a node.
js back-end application involving extensive Messaging and Transaction processing
Design and develop code as dictated by project requirements as needed and work with/mentoring junior team members
Learn and adhere to the continuous integration, automated unit testing and other AGILE practices established within the team using the tools that are currently used by the team
Diagnose and fix issues in existing application components as part of maintenance
Collaborate across teams to ensure successful integration of application components
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors and five (5)+ years’ of related experience; additional four (4)+ years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Design, develop, and document large-scale enterprise software systems using JavaScript and node.

Experience with DBs like MongoDB, MSSQL, etc.
Docker and Kubernetes experience
Experience with Gitlab/JIRA/Jenkins for CI/CD
Demonstrated ability to incorporate rigorous Unit testing as part of development activities is essential
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
Must be a current US Citizen
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000.
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
