Ascension Engineering Group, a Boecore company, is actively seeking a Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO, to support the development and deployment of the Protected Tactical Enterprise System (PTES).
The ideal candidate will perform engineering design, integration, and documentation to deliver new products for the PTES system.
This is a hybrid position that will require 2-3 days in office weekly.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, integrating, and document technical products within the Mission Management System (MMS).
Work closely with system developers, testers, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
Provide technical advice and deliver customer presentations for architectures and potential solutions.
Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings; and support Data Products Development, which include APIs, databases, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), simulations, and Task Automated Operations (TAO).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years relevant experience, Master's degree and four or more years relevant experience
Engineer Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience, Master's with nine or more years of experience
Engineer Level 5: Bachelor's degree and 16 or more years of experience, Master's with 12 or more years of experience
Ability to obtain a U.
S.
Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.
S.
Citizenship)
Experience supporting programs through requirements reviews and design reviews.
Experience with Agile Development Processes and tools (e.
g.
, Jira, Agility, Confluence).
Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting systems engineering tasks for a complex system across multiple teams of developers, engineers, and testers
Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds, and implement and document corrective actions across multiple systems and components
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage numerous demonstration events at the same time
Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Experience with the Satellite Control Network (SCN) and Wideband SATCOM command and control (C2) systems, products, and interfaces
Experience modeling with Sparx Enterprise Architecture or other architecture modeling tools
Experience with creating and maintaining XML and JSON schemas
Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with software engineering
Salary Range: $89,700 - $166,400
