Overview:
FTI is searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help our continued efforts to support the Department of Air Force Rapid Capability Office (DAFRCO), the Space Rapid Capability Office (SpRCO), and the Space Development Agency (SDA).
Additionally, FTI is providing critical support to the U.
S.
Air Force (USAF) NGAD and ABMS programs.
Each of these offices are developing first-of-kind space capabilities.
Successful deployment of these capabilities to the USSF and the U.
S.
Space Command Guardians relies on close coordination with SSC and, in many circumstances, the successful transfer of these programs to SSC for the purpose of transition from development to deployment by SSC.
FTI is expanding direct support to SSC by providing subject matter expertise of this unique portfolio of capabilities and the activities required to ultimate deliver these capabilities to warfighters.

Responsibilities: As a Senior DevOps Engineer with FTI, your development activities at the Cyber Operations Branch program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies to implement lead, agile, and DevOps at scale.
Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery.
These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve pipeline experience.
Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
Perform root cause analysis for development environment errors.
Investigate and resolve technical CI/CD issues.
Develop scripts to automate visualization.
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes.
Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure Education/Qualifications: Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 10 years’ related professional experience; Or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 6 years’ related professional experience.
Must have SAFe for Teams & AWS Dev Ops Engineer within 6 Months of start date.
Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena.
Experience in programming languages (at least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Databases, SQL, Gitlab, & Artifactory Familiarity & knowledge: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi.
Experience or Knowledge in the following Areas: Agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team.
Desired skills/experience: Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office For this role, the compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($135K- $160K).
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
FTI has a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
