Responsibilities:
In this role you will work directly with scientists, engineers, analysts, software developers, and a range of customers to provide systems and software (S/W) engineering expertise, including translating complex systems into modeling architectures that can be used in LMI’s world-class modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A).
The S/W applications can include (but are not limited to) a python-based MS&A framework, platform & system models, advanced thin-client visualization, containerization & Kubernetes for High Performance Computing (HPC) deployments, cloud deployments, analytical engine development, and the execution of analyses.
The analysis work products will be used by a wide range of audiences including the U.
S.
Government, up to the highest levels within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Executive Branch.

Key Responsibilities:
Modeling architectures of complex systems.
Engage with customers to understand their needs and translate them into solutions.
Collaborate with other engineers to leverage feature development across projects and exercise features to perform analysis for customers.
Collaborate with non-LMI Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure we deliver the best-informed products.
Actively participate in all agile sprint ceremonies.
Demonstrate your developments to customers.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of professional development experience or master’s degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of professional development experience
Proven experience employing modern OO programming languages (Python, Java, C++, SQL, Electron, NUnit & QUnit, Jira, GitHub etc.
) in an agile environment
Specialized skills relating to any of the applications noted above
Agile software development experience, with the ability to develop products both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work across disciplines
Ability to give and take feedback
Self-start, follow-through, complete projects from start to finish
Experience defining, creating, and maintaining APIs
Experience defining and organizing work for a development team
Experience mentoring Jr-level developers
Experience with CI/CD practices
Security Clearance Requirements:
Secret – Required
Preferred – TS/SCI
Desired:
Space domain experience.
Experience using both Scrum and Kanban.
C++: 5 years’ experience (preferred)
SQL: 5 years’ experience (preferred)
JavaScript: 5 years’ experience (preferred)
Experience with testing frameworks and Test-Driven Development
Experience with cloud-based applications and containers
Possess or be willing to be processed for a U.
S.
Government TS security clearance (willing to take CI/Poly).
Target salary range:$99,000 - $174,000.
Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
